Can the individual items (filter, regulator, lubricator) but separated from the unit and installed in different locations?

Yes, the unit can be separated as needed.  Please note, once separated, the individual units will not have its own wall mounting bracket. 

While individual brackets are included when individual items are purchased, these brackets are not included with air preparation units.  Brackets can be purchased as needed by contacting our sales staff.

What units can be connected using the modular T-brackets and/or L-brackets?

Any filter, regulator, or lubricator units (including integral (piggyback) filter regulators) can be connected with other units of the same pipe size.  There are dedicated modular brackets for each pipe size. 3/4”NPT pipe size units have two different sized brackets depending on the body size of the unit (400/4000 size or 600/6000 size).

Please note, a 400 series filter (SAF400-N04B) and 4000 series regulator (SAR4000M-N04BG) cannot be connected with a modular bracket.  Much like the pipe size restriction, our SAU400 series units can only connect with 400 series units, and SAU4000 series units can only connect with other 4000 series units

How do I change air flow direction to the other direction (right to left)?

Changing flow direction will be detailed under ‘Setup & Installation’ category by product size (pipe size) in our solutions base. 

General guidelines for changing flow direction involve removing modular brackets connecting individual units, rotating the brackets and units 180 degrees, and rearranging the configuration of individual units to the correct sequence before reassembling the unit with the brackets (for instance, SAU4000 units [filter, regulator, & lubricator] must always have the filter as the inlet side and the lubricator as the outlet side.

What variations of air units are offered?

While the popular notion of ‘Air Prep Unit’ for compressed air systems will consist of a filter, regulator, and lubricator, we offer air units in the following configurations in addition to the traditional FRL:
